Friends of Mosholu Parkland
Our Team, The Community Residents.
Friends of Mosholu Parkland started here in the Bronx by daily park users of diverse and economic backgrounds sitting around the "circle of friends" benches at 204 street on East Mosholu Parkway South, talking about current events, weather, the good old days, and the changes on Mosholu Parkway such as demographic and usage changes that are effecting the physical landscape of the terrains.
A natural informal union developed and word spread around.
A positive reaction also came from members of the Community Board, Neighborhood Association including a large public garden. With these many supporters and the unity of the surrounding communities Norwood, Mosholu, Bedford and Jerome, the parklands surrounding the Parkway with hard work and dedication will succeed in contributing positively environmentally and improving the quality of life for our community residents and those that visit the area for now and in the future.

Hi, I'm Elizabeth and I enjoy gardening on all levels. Watering, feeding, weeding and planting. I'm concerned about the spreading erosion on Mosholu and it's effects to the environment and on us. I'm here to help make a positive difference.
David
I'm David a Carpenter by trade and landscaper on the side. As a Citizen Pruner I also help with maintaing trees pruned as well as lifting the the heavy stuff like wheelbarrows of mulch and potted trees
You, Yes YOU! Why Not?!
You are just as important as we are. You can help by being aware of landscape erosion, walk only on pathways, take your trash with you, curb your dog, and reporting vandalism to 311.
Volunteers
Our volunteers are family members, community residents, dog walkers, park users, and hosted foreign exchange students who help with weeding, watering, raking and planting year long even on short notices or spur of the moment.
Parks and Recreation
Projects on Mosholu are collaborated with people from Parks and Recreation. They provide the authorization, the support, the help, and even the materials when they have them. Thank You!
